Music Director, Conductor & Keyboard
Luke is in high demand as a music director, arranger, vocal coach and accompanist. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland University of Technology (where he also studied Theatre and Acting), a Masters in Contemporary Music from the Queensland Conservatorium, and trained in music direction at the Tony Award®-winning Goodspeed Musicals (USA). Highlights as music director include BARE (Understudy Productions), THE OWL & THE PUSSYCAT: An Opera For Children (Little Match Productions), A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (asst., Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra), RENT (Queensland Conservatorium), COMPANY and LITTLE WOMEN (Ignatians Musical Society), LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Brisbane Arts Theatre), and SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD (Phoenix Ensemble). He provided arrangements and music direction for nationally-touring cabarets BABUSHKA (DOLL and HAPPILY EVER AFTER), and COOL BRITANNIA, and is the arranger, orchestrator and music supervisor of original Australian musical ON THE DOCKS, currently in development. Outside of musical theatre, Luke has toured nationally with the Underground Opera Company and OperaQ Open Stages, and has music directed the Universal Monsters Live Rock & Roll Show® and the Hogwarts™ Frog Choir for Universal Studios Japan® in Osaka. As a pianist, Luke has played on various touring productions, performs with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and has been official accompanist for the Australian Musical Theatre Workshop and the International Congress of Voice Teachers. He is the resident pianist for Underground Broadway's Musical Theatre Industry Night, and has worked with such celebrated artists as Rhonda Burchmore, Kristin Chenoweth, Philip Quast, and Jason Robert Brown.
Tsoof Baras is a versatile and skilled percussionist with over 16 years of performance experience in orchestral percussion, hand drumming, novelty percussion and more in a range of styles.
He is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, with a Bachleor of Music, Majoring in Advanced Percussion Performance. Tsoof is a member of multiple ensembles performing locally in Brisbane and nationally.
Conall began playing bass at the age of 7, performing in an indie band from the age of the 11, Conall has played with iconic bands such as Evermore and Hoodoo Gurus. Conall is currently finishing his Bachelor of Music in Jazz at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and revels in the opportunity to engage in the enjoyment of musical theatre.
Fresh off a national album tour with folk metal outfit Valhalore, Lucas is an experienced musical theatre guitarist with a truly diverse background ranging from jazz, classical and rock to Javanese Gamelan and Klezmer. Lucas is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music with a bachelor of Music Studies majoring in jazz guitar, and teaches guitar full-time as the manager of a studio.
